That didn't exactly help his cause, it's true.

Good race, nice touch from Webber giving Alonso a trip back to the pits. Shame Button could not continue, I think he would have gotten 4th.

BBC only showing half the races between 2012 and 2018 live. Sky Sports now got rights to show EVERY race live.

          NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The current BBC coverage is second to none, far far better than ITV ever was, and now this happens. Can you see all the team staying together with this announcement? I tell you what BBC, stop making **** comedies (you just can't make them good anymore) and use that money saved to continue showing all the races live. You are also getting record audiences, so obviously what do you - I know, take a sledgehammer to it!!!

I don't want to pre-judge the quality of the Sky Sports coverage but for me F1 belongs on free to air tv.

BBC are trying to put a positive spin on this, but this is ****.

Thanks for the heads up Mike. For sure not what I wanted to hear mind. I like Sky's coverage of most Sport but a combination of the exceptional BBC team and the dry nature of Sky's other motorsport (Indycar etc) leaves me more than disappointed about this news.

**** sake, this is the last thing the sport needed. I have no desire to purchase Sky (and no money to do so). The BBC were producing some of the best sporting coverage I've ever seen, and I agree that the team won't stay together for this. They are annoucing like this is great news for F1 fans too, yeah right!

Ha! I bet the BBC went cap in hand for the half too. Let it fully go to Sky and then fade from view as people lose interest in a hidden away series.

Lets just cut the Bull, BBC is not free to air (we all have to pay for it, Only the likes of ITV, Ch 4 are free to air) and one wonders what on earth the BBC is doing with all its Money. It's commitment to sport is just abysmal

SKY coverage of F1 was 2nd to none (when they had it a few years back) and showed every lap of every race, including both the Warm up laps and all the Practice sections , everything

                          What about A1GP?

Angry hearing this, especially half way through the season too. I don't have Sky and will not be paying Sky Sports for this.

I am currently questioning now to bother to watch ANY further F1 races from this point on, starting from this weekend. I just don't see the point in bothering with the sport anymore because it is going to Sky.

Nice one F1, you've blown it for me. Jog on. Wankers

Yeah livid. I dont have sky sports, won't be getting it for this. I will have to watch online on a crappy stream or wait a few hours and torrent it.

I just hope that its the awkwardly timed races (ie not European) that Sky get.

My current plan for next year is to watch the races the beeb is showing and the rest will be using sopcast streaming
