know what you mean but 800bhp and 600kg cars (if those figures are still correct) should go a long way to explain the power and acceleration to "non-atendees"

aye youre right chief but the distortion that the tv lens produces negates the physical impact that these cars produce nearly 100 percent.
When they went past they were blowing the water off the trees above us 10 m away!

I know, been to a few races, so close once I could feel the air pressure of the passing pack pushing hard against my chest

And when they change down a gear, you feel it in the pit of your stomach, and did I mention the glowing brakes? Amazing....

I have just be reading some web rumours about Toyota trying to bag an F1 race at Fuji speedway for 2006. It seems that they are pissed that only Honda get to show off at Suzuka. I'll be in seventh heaven if it's true as I only live about 1 hour away by train, and could do it as a day trip. Please, pretty please, Mr Bernie.

As well as Suzuka? Would it be called the Asian GP or something?

Talk of new V8 from McLaren tester De La Rosa:

"It is simply lacking in power," de la Rosa, 34, told Autosport. "It is true to say that it is less physical. We have to carry the speed through a corner, so in a way we may have to change the driving style."
              Sounds interesting.

how does everyone think McRae is going to fair in the Skoda at Rally GB this weekend?

I can see him taking points if he doesnt bin it!

Well the race at Aida in '94 & '95 was called the Pacific GP, so they could probably call it that. It's purely rumours though of course, it may not happen at all.

Someone should tell Pedro that's the whole point of the new rules, to reduce speed (and costs)

Oh and McRae, if he stays on track no reason he shouldn't finish in top 8

Heidfeld officially signed by BMW (as we all knew un-officially already):

Any chance he'll be back in the Williams this season, injury or not? I doubt it now really.
