Well it was certainly an eventful race.

MS did throw away points today. With five races left I still hope he wins it. If he doesn't he'll only have himself to blame after today's race.

    Roll on Turkey.

      Me too.

I was gutted after he retired considering the way he drove today. Started from the back, overtook Schu on the outside, muscled his way up to P1 and then pulled out a 40 odd sec lead. And he didn't throw it into the gravel trap unlike some of his rivals.

That was the best race of the season.

Button deserves his victory like no other driver in the field. Well done!

Was a strange race, Alonso so fast at start, Sch very very slow, then Schumacher much faster than slower Ferrari were greedy and should have bought him in for slicks, couple of points would have been better than none.
Still 11 points in it and now 5 races remaining.

Well done to Button, reckon it was the appearance on Top Gear last Sunday that did it

That was one of the best races I've seen for a long, long time. Loads of over taking, incidents, etc. Nice of Button to eventually nail that elusive first win too. I reckon he would have taken Alonso even if he didn't retire.

If Kubicas car was underweight due to excessive tyre wear surely Michael's would be too if they weighed it

Not complaining though, ill settle for another point off the gap to Alonso after todays disaster.

                  Button would've had Alonso?

I am not so sure as FA pitted for slicks on his second and last stop stop but JB had to come in again for slicks, meaning FA would've taken the lead.

Lap 46 - JB pits but remains on inters.
Lap 51 - FA pits and switches to slicks.
Lap 54 - JB pits and finally switches to slicks.

After his second stop, FA was basically in the lead going into the last stint, but then his driveshaft broke.

Does anyone knowthe reason why Alonso went out?

It looked like, and James Allen thought it was a loose wheel nut. Has their been an offical statement?

It was drive shaft failure, take a look on BBC site for more info. Was funny the way James Allen was apologising for blaming the right rear wheel man

I dident catch that, did he apolgise on air? Poor guy!

Strange for the Renault to fail like that, this season they've been going bloody well.

JV has gone the way of Montoya, left BMW with immediate effect. I missed the details of why Kubica took his spot for Hungary but it seems he's lost the motivation to risk his neck, following his crash in Germany? It seems that's become permanent.

no surprise really, shame, JV has put in some good performances recently, he must have known at start of the year his contract wouldn't be renewed.

Bit in the Metro today about Flav secretly having a malignant cancerous lump removed weeks ago, all went well and no he is know evaluating all the time he wastes on superflous things.

Surely with Flav 'superfluous things' means anything that doesn't involve shagging?

Shagging is not superfluous Mr Darwock!
