Some months ago she said she had been in hosp. So yeah, I think so...

It sucks man. But it all depends on what type of depression. Hopefully (And I mean that in a nursey way) she has a reason to be depressed. If she's at home she must also be seen as being better.
Try to chill and give her a bell in the morning.

Not right now, thats for sure. The big trouble with depression is the person suffering is likely to not want help / advice / sympathy etc etc, BUT may just want someone to be there (Obviously this is all potentially wrong / incorrect but is based on my experience).
I would ring her, but think carefully why you are ringing her and what would be best for her to hear - you may be doing it because you care but is she in a place to hear that ? Depression is all about negative feelings about self (Obviously again, depending on the type of depression) - the last thing she may want is "Hi - really worried about you" but she may like "Hi, not heard from you in a while - sup?".

Short answer - yes
