i managed to push thru the drunken, tired haze and lying in bed made it to the end of our innings. laughing hard at the abject aussies.

despite feeling fine I managed to then fall asleep til 11 so missed our opening pair rubbing it in!

listening tonight should cheer me up after watching Villa get smashed...

Convinced myself I would sleep through lunch and then wake up and watch the rest but after a hard days drinking I failed.
Great England performance can't wait for tonight lads!
Big score and really rub it in.

          Unbelievable.

When I went to sleep, the first wicket was down. I didn't think for a second they'd be scuttled for less than a ton. And amazing that the batsmen haven't handed their wickets on a silver platter, they seem to have batted with application and concentration. The day could simply not have gone any better.

I'm beginning to think the idea of momentum, in this series at least, is a load of old cock bollocks. England had massive momentum going into the 2nd day of the third test, and got smashed up the (Ryan) Harris. Before today, the Aussies should have had the momentum, but have suffered an utterly bewildering collapse and skanking.

            Yes!

            Oh how I laughed.

I'm excited about tonight, but will be a war of attrition against the vast quantities of alcohol consumed today. I'm up for it though!

wow, i watched up to tea (end of aussie innings) and went to bed thinking that an england score of about 130-2 by the end of the day would put us in a great position, so to wake up and see 157-0 was a very nice suprise. great to see the whole team performing so well - Long may it continue :-)

Haven't drank today, I've not missed much since the series started, so bitterly dissapointed to have missed it live. I would of fought through had it not had a delay after lunch. oh well. Saw the news and just finished watching the ITV4 highlights ready for tonight, tbh, I'm well awake, just about to open my first ale and sky has just started. Can not wait. Lets really demolish them.

Hopefully should find it streamed again. Will catch an hour or so of it.

Urgh, horrible start to the day, with Strauss playing a poor nothing-shot, to balloon a delivery that moved a little bit off the seam straight to a fielder. It seemed to nip up a bit, but he appeared to take his eye off the ball.

Dreadful stuff as KP nearly sends one to the slips, and Trotts plays all around the next delivery.

Not the greatest of starts. To lose both openers *sigh*

Made it to lunch 226-2. Not all bad. Pieterson has been a bit loose at times (isn't he always)

Still a long way to go today, but I will be upset if we cant bat out today without a wicket or two intact.

Hopefully Collingwood will put in a display.

Fascinating, even if Australia have given themselves a near impossible task after day 1.

Collingwood ordinary for 8. Pieterson lbw, pretty much plumb, went not too long before that. 281-4. Healthy lead with wickets in hand. I hope we don't mess this up.

I still think our bowling attack can do a job regardless. Its always nice to demolish the Aussies though.

Collingwood may have played his last game this series I think.
Would like a lead of at least 350 but I'm with you, I'm confident we can bowl them out again.

He riles me, I have to say it all the time, it happens that often, but without a doubt, Ponting is a prized SEE YOU N TEE.

I have bags under my bags and I'm knackered but happy.
Looking forward to seeing how many we can get as there's no need to declare as there is so much time left.
Great umpiring allowed Prior to escape and he's made the best of it.
                                Bring on tonight!
