Oscar is such an awesome cat His facial expressions are so human it makes me laugh! I was going back through this thread the other day and saw the photo of him looking really put out on the fence, such a great pose.
I guess he must have a bit of the wild in his genes if he is good at hunting as his colour is terrible camouflage for any given environment lol.
I saw Obi legging it across the road on Monday with a bird in his mouth whilst the mother bird flew after him and divebombed from above. Looked funny as hell but I did feel sorry for the bird and tried to save it later (I was outside anyway burying the remains of another one...it was so gross).

I think he makes up for his lack of camouflage by just being a bit of a beast and a hard bastard

The funny thing is, when he meows it's really high pitched and barely any different from when he was a kitten. The tiniest, cutest, squeaky little voice yet he's a murderous killing machine.

Makes up for the voice with the look though.

Oscar has been hogging my cat spotlight recently, time to let the others have a look in. No idea where Star is at the moment, but thankfully good old Smudge can almost always be found partaking in her favourite activity:

Here are my two pedigree Raggies.

Samson: Bought by my girlfriend before we met. He used to be really timid until the day my brother died, at which point he came and sat on my lap and didn't leave my side for weeks. Apart from my family and girlfriend, he means more to me than any human.

Delilah: Sam's half sister. A month younger, but still tiny. Everyone who sees her, wants her as she literally is just a little ball of fluff. The unfortunate thing is that now she won't get down off her pedestal and just gives you a look of pure disgust if you interrupt whatever she's doing.

            Sam and Lilah lounging around:

Sams reaction to me stroking Lilah before him!

I still can't believe how lucky I am to have Sam, he's been there for me and always fancies a cuddle. The only thing is he does sometimes get a bit jealous. On many occasions he's decided to plonk himself between me and the other half when we go to bed! But no matter what, even after he pissed in my slipper and pooped all over the carpet, I wouldn't change him for anything.

Sam looks to be an awesome cat and I'm sorry to hear about your brother dude. There is something caring that some cats have that I find fascinating like in your case of Sam being there for you. When I was a baby in my pram our cat Toffo would sit beside me and literally guard me from anyone he didn't know by hissing at them.

                Totally. Sam just knows things.

He made me chuckle yesterday as he jumped on my shoulder and just sat there watching me play GT5.

Also just after I posted the pics, he came and sat on my lap and wouldn't move until I'd fussed him for a good 10 minutes.

                    Fantastic!

I bet they had to force that cat into it for that photo though. Any time we've bought anything expensive for our cats they take one look, then ignore it and start playing with a random piece of fluff on the floor

My grandparents runt siamese lived for 18 years. That was the smartest, most comical cat i've ever known too.

His name was flaxi, or "mac"...but my grandfather used to call him "breakaway province of katanga" because he was so much trouble. LOL!

Never forget when they bought mac a tower for scratching, and he took one look at it before casually going back to tearing the fairly new carpet to shreds....he used to wind my grandfather up so much it was hilarious, he'd be chased out by my grandfather teatowel in hand...but it was so funny when he came back 10 mins later, and he'd stare at my grandfather for a moment while he was reading his paper, and then just jumped up for a cuddle. That cat had him literally wrapped around his finger. He knew exactly how to wind my grandfather up, but also knew exactly when to reemerge for a cuddle.

Then when youd be eating he would keep touching your leg with a paw, and if you kept ignoring him, he'd eventually stick you with a single claw lmao.

So many little things that thinking back were absolute comedy gold.

My grandfather was quite a cold, unemotional man(well plenty of volatile emotions) but he cried like a baby when mac died....never saw him shed a tear before, or after that up until his own death.

I dont have a picture unfortunately, but thats one man/cat story that really was amazing to watch.

Usually he hates cars but yesterday Obi jumped in and went to sleep on the parcel shelf

Nice and warm in there I'd imagine.

With the good weather comes the opening of the patio, so Merlin has been having a little explore of the patio/balcony area.
He's enjoying the smells and the new noises and things to see

Some amazing shots there of Merlin .

Obi knows a nice warm spot when he sees one . Just needs a 'Do not disturb' sign on the car door now .
