Did her personality change after the pregnancy? We had a young cat who was really hyper-active and energetic, after her pregnancy and taking care of her litter (until they went to new homes) she became like this total 'mother' cat, she would never go outside and was always really gentle etc.. I don't recall her claws even coming out once in about ten years!

Unfortunately the pregnancy didn't go too well, and see had about six kittens all of which were premature. We thought one of them was going to make it, as it was able to survive the night, but that one died the next day tooProbably due to the fact that she was so young.
So she never got a chance to do the mothering part of things (I think she knew that the kittens had no chance as she didn't want to go near even the one that survived the night).
Personality wise, she's still pretty much the same now as she was before and after the birth, very active and running around alot, occasionally beating up her brother ShadowIt's a shame we never got the chance to see if bringing up the kittens would have changed her at all.
