off the top of my head - no. Should be in the flickr stats though on each photo right?

Quite like the first two angelox - though I'd be tempted to crop tighter on the fire breather. Last one is lacking a little focus imo. Shooting wide townscapes is devilishly hard though - I've tried and failed many many many times.

Tommy - nice skeletons. What a great subject.

Thanks Marty - I deliberately set out for a skewed angle looking upwards. Had to shoot "blind" as oddly enough getting that low down below a westie is not really happening!

Picked up my car today. 2009 model, Mazda RX-8. I am a happy bunny.

Nice shot Gareth - oddly enough I've got a trip to a pylon planned! I like yours very much - lots of contrast yet subtle.

Winky - thanks for your kind comments on my photostream!

                Few more from me.

And this last one I really like.

I know I've said this before, but you've got a great eye for textures Ish.

Tommy, those adjustments make a world of difference.

Alastair, I love the composite. Not sure about the B&W conversion either. It's a great image though.

Enjoy the car RJ. I expect to see some quality shots coming up.

I've done a whole set from the Glasgow School of Art Degree Show & Street Party on Friday night. There are loads to view here on my Flickr account.

                  Here are a few:

RJ, I'm jealous, so very very jealous.

Gareth, superb as always. I'd love to see some of the shots you don't post, at the moment I get the feeling you are a photo machine and only take sublime shots.

Ish, as I said on Flickr, that last one is GREAT.

Mag, nice candids, colours are great.

Dug up a more arty one from the festival:

As I said over on RLLMUK... great shot, really like it.

LOL. Thanks but not quite true!

I don't tend to take lots of photos to be honest. Well, I take quite a lot of holiday snapshots etc but don't tend to do anything with them. In Hong Kong I took maybe 300 photos but having looked at most of them they don't hold much interest so they are languishing on my harddrive! In australia I took even less.

Now that my Leica is finally focusing without hassle though I plan to ramp up a bit. Expect the onslaught soon!!!

As ever thanks for the feedback guys. Great candids Magnakai - I like the one of the lass lighting up, it's nicely composed.

I also really like that shot Alastair. The "solidity" of the microphone contrasts nicely with the movement of the fella.

Winky - I've been going through your photostream and you're posting some awesome macros at the moment.

Few more from me. Some from the weekend, some from the vast set I am still processing from the previous weekend.

Wow! Everyone has posted some amazing photos since I went away. Such a treat to come back to the UK and review the thead. I have been trying to keep up to with all your photostream's and chucking the odd comment in, I really need to work harder at it though

I love that picture above of the flower Ish. The colour and composition is fantastic.

My recent work is mostly technical exercises in maximum magnification (and insects in flight). Still needing to work with the flash for the macro stuff, specifcally the exposure for backgrounds.

                          Here are a few examples:

The damselfly in particular was difficult as there was no background nearby and it was in some deep shade. Sigma 105mm with full set of tubes so approx 2:1 magnification.

Hoverfly is natural light photograph with the sigma 105mm.

And a rare non-wildlife shot from my recent travel

Ish, your first one there is amazing. Also winky that last one there is also amazing!

                            You guys

I had an awesome, awesome moment today. Went to a gig, had a great time, took lots of pictures (quite visibly, too), and on the way out after got stopped by 3 guys, who asked if I was at a different gig a while ago, if I had posted pictures online etc. In short, they knew who I was, had looked out for me, and then stopped me to say they really loved my photos, used them as their wallpapers, and were really eager to see my shots from that night.

Been grinning like a pillock since!!

(will post pictures from the show tomorrow )

                              Alastair,

Why was Fernando at the gig? It looks like him I would say. Great stuff as usual.

Anyway, I will try to put my camera to good use soon.
