I acquired a lightbox yesterday, someone at work is moving house so I got it gratis. Had a play about, and it works well for removing shadow on macros ( you still have to use a flash to fill the top side other wise you're likely to underexpose ).

Some people think it will degrade the quality of the film. When I went to American I bought a little bag to put them to protect it, unfortunately it meant that since the xray scanners couldn't see inside, I got stopped and searched at every single check! You can get them from 7dayshop quite cheap.

I've been away for a week, but now I'm back!
I took this before I went away and love it but couldn't upload it. Now I have BB at home though
Hope you like it too:
Well worth clicking for large or even push the boat out and go to original if you can, detail is much better that way !!
I've moved away from all the dark, night time shots in the last week too you'll be glad to hear, more to come once I get time to process and upload them.Last edited by Alastair; 02-09-2006, 16:45.

Thats absolutely fantastic AgentL! Top marks from me!
Life has finally slowed enough for me to get my camera back out this weekend (changing jobs doesn't half put a crimp on the amount of free time you have) and went over to Woburn Deer Reserve. It was howling a gale and the deer refused to stand anywhere photogenic for me. After a while "off" the photography it took me a while before I started actually thinking about what I was shooting too.
An unsatisfactory day to be honest but at least I got out there. This was the best of a bad bunch:

Was starting to wonder where you'd got to Ish! Thanks, glad you liked the pic.
Your deer is a good effort.
I went to an Otter sanctuary last week
A bit noisy due to being indoors and having to bump the ISO up to 800 which the 300D doesn't cope too well with.
Through a wire fence!
And a pony!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/agentl/233085067/

Ish, L - those are fantastic shots. Respec!
Well I went to the zoo...I have new found respect for any wildlife photographers! The lions and tigers were so far away I could only get an ear, most big animals would only show thier arse and all the birds were so fecking fast I couldn't snap them.
Took over a hundred shots and about six came out, which is better than average for meThank god for the reptile house...
And it wouldn't be right to travel all that way and not get a macro...
Am I going nuts? I quite like this failed shot.
Put up some more:

Does anyone go to a camera/photography club? I remember talk from ages ago of someone going to one (or was it an evening course?), still going? What's it like and what happens.
I'm thinking of going along to this one as you can go for a couple of weeks for free.
All the talk of members of the RPS sounds a little too serious to me though and I don't know what to expect when I get there.
