Black Lace star Colin Gibb dies aged 70
"Colin Gibb, the longest-standing member of pop band Black Lace, has died at the age of 70.
The group were best known for their 1984 novelty hit Agadoo, which reached number two in the UK.
Black Lace also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1979."
Look, I'm into rock and metal and I still think Black Lace are ace and if you say you've never danced to one of their songs, I call you a dirty liar.
Agadoo is the big one - we had the 7" single, but Superman is an absolute banger.
That bassline is MONSTROUS.
Fair play, that's a long run in the fickle music business, but it's a shame he died just before he was going to retire to Spain.
