I have to wonder if genuine fear is a factor here. Given what Trump is doing, I have to wonder what will happen his political enemies in a few years time.

I used to work on the secure comms systems for government. The layers of security in those devices is insane. And here we have these bellends using Signal instead.
The USA needs to be removed from Five Eyes; it's no longer safe to share intel with them.

Their response has been jaw-dropping, saying things like "it's an awful publication, I'm surprised it's still in print", "*chuckles* you're talking about a deceitful and discredited so-called journalist who's made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and tine again", "Nobody was texting war plans (but we can't share this classified information)" and "I take full blame for this, but I'm asking Elon to look into how this glitch happened."
