Yeah, all of this is really confusing to outsiders. Trump says something and it happens.
Where do they draw the line?
Why can't people stop him?
The Constitution is just a duty piece of paper written by dudes in wigs, generations ago, thinking that Congress would stop a rampaging President.
Remember that the 2nd Amendment was the right to bear arms where The Founding Fathers felt that citizens should be able to protect themselves against the government and any other threat to their wellbeing or personal freedom.
They wrongly assumed that Congress would work to stop a rampaging President, rather than bend over and take it.
The last resort are the courts. Now assuming all the judges aren't Trump-appointed and suddenly grow a backbone and stand up for the Constitution they have no way to enforce their rulings because the law enforcement officers are, guess what, controlled by Trump.
That means that Trump could simply ignore the court rulings, as Vance has already hinted he will, which means that the courts are incentivized not to rule against Trump at all because if they do and then he ignores them it makes them look weak far better to keep pretending to be strong and do nothing.
All the people have left are protests and that tweet above is taking away their right to protest:
"First Amendment. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I'm genuinely confused as to what it'll take for Congress, the courts or the people to say "stop".Last edited by QualityChimp; 04-03-2025, 15:59.

Emily Erroa, an Army veteran who was fired from the Energy Department last month, called Habba's comments "ridiculous" and "insulting."
Trump says to Congress that "we're taking Greenland, one way or another"

Theres only one way you can sort this US, and its not with words, that’s long past.
That side already "got violent" on "Jan 6th" and were largely pardoned for their violence, so arguably the seal's been broken.

But they won’t, they’re all too scared and would rather leave a dictator in charge and fall to fascism, which is literally what’s happened in front of our eyes.
I would have just had him killed long ago, again, people are too scared to do a little evil to make a lot of good in the long run, this is THEE most predictable situation that could of all been avoided.Last edited by fishbowlhead; 05-03-2025, 09:18.

It's going to take those Republican voters to get burnt themselves to start steering the ship away from danger again, with so much time left to go I think Trump is overdoing the emulation of Putin's dictator rulebook whilst not taking any time to acknowledge that fundamentally at the core the US populace are not of the same mindset as other nations. They'll clearly allow a ton of awful **** to happen but once it happens to them themselves, he's going to find it difficult to maintain that power regardless of what rule breaking he does... or even his own head on his shoulders.
