Reminder for today: The 50501 Movement has planned protests at all 50 state capitols and the U.S. Capitol on Presidents’ Day at noon. While mainstream media isn’t covering the event, many YouTubers have stepped up to provide coverage.
Protests against Trump will take place in all 50 state capitals today - the mainstream media aren't providing coverage

Having failed miserably to end the war in a single day as promised, and having failed miserably at his peace talks with Russia - Trump now turns against Ukraine trying to shift public support against Zelenskyy
Panik über die amerikanisch-russischen Verhandlungen in Europa! Die Sicherheitslage würde sich nach einem Abzug der US-Truppen komplett ändern.
Trump also talked up capitulating to Putin by withdrawing NATO troops from all NATO nations that have joined since 1990
Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick says President Trump’s goal is to abolish the IRS and “let all the outsiders pay.”
Secretary of Commerce says the plan is to abolish the IRS and have the US funded by "outsiders"
An appeals court will not allow the Trump administration to end birthright citizenship for certain children of immigrants, in a ruling that could propel the issue to the Supreme Court.
This one might actually bite back on Trump in time if he sticks with it
The move would be a blatant bribe landing around the same time as the mid-term elections

People need to understand this: Trump did not leave office willingly the first time. If his health holds up, he will not leave office willingly this time. He is not joking about serving more than two terms.
Bannon: "The future of MAGA is Donald Trump! We want Trump in '28. That's what they can't stand. A man like Trump comes along only once or twice in the country's history. We want Trump! We want Trump!"
Trump and his cronies dial up their vocal push for the idea of a Trump third term
Musk goes after the ISS Commander
Notably, and predictably:
Musk not only knew of the plan but also signed off on it so is doing his usual shtick of talking ******** to try and turn the tide against NASA
Rep. Rich McCormick, who represents a safe GOP district, came under harsh criticism that focused on the Trump administration’s moves to slash federal jobs and budgets.
Trump is going to issue an executive order that says he's putting USPS under the control of the Commerce Department and dissolving its governing board (!). "Trump’s order to place the Commerce Department in charge of the Postal Service likely violates federal law, according to postal experts." https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/02/20/trump-usps-takeover-dejoy/?utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bluesky
And Trump is expected to make a move shortly to seize control of the US Postal Service. Geez, I wonder why...?

It really feels like there isn't remotely enough resistance to any of this stuff. There is still a government system in the US, still Congress and all of that. Feels like they're just watching everything get burned to the ground, possibly taking us into WW3 in the process, and not quite doing enough to resist. Maybe they are but, when you have the two biggest loudmouths on the planet, it's hard to be heard.

I think we're in a weird situation now certainly where society offers so much comfort, it's hard to imagine uprooting it. I mean let's face it, the average person in the UK, and I mean average, working man in the street, may be renting or have a big mortgage, but either way they come home every evening to a central heated house. They have broadband and Netflix, a big TV, possibly TVs in every room. Every member of the family has smartphones, probably a couple of Nintendo Switches, maybe a shelf of BluRays. Hell, an interior bathroom with a power shower. Hot running water. Electricity 24/7 with blackouts being very uncommon. Treated loo roll. Nectar points. Deliveroo.

People are just inherently selfish. Apathy let Trump get his second term and corruption would be what would allow a third to happen. Two of the issues he will potentially face are that he's so quick to dismantle everything that he might very well hate having to manage the ****show he will have created for himself by the third year onward, the other is that many of these changes are going to have very harsh and devastating impacts on Republican voters. It's harder to maintain your grift when you're targeting the ones who keep you there.

You know, sounds stupid but the thing I hate the most about going overseas now is the lack of Japanese toilets. After 27 years it's extremely hard to do without 😂

I think one common factor between the 1930s and now is that people are easily manipulated.
