    RIP Adrian (Fuse)

Do we know what happened to fuse? Was he ill?
Sad to see someone from the forum go 😢. He was only here 10 days ago too.

    Fuse. Long time forumite. RIP.
Megasad. 'm not near my laptop for a few days, otherwise I'd do a banner.

Found out last night from Sean Smith (fka bigseany on here) via J0e Musashi.

Desperately didn't want this to be true. Struggling to process this right now.

Extremely sad news. Adrian was a fantastic bloke and one of the good guys, big time. Really gutting. I will really miss his always considered, entertaining posts, impeccably friendly demeanour, and extraordinarily broad and eclectic knowledge of video games.

I was fortunate enough to hang with him IRL a few times. Best memory was an unexpected one. I was at fabric with a mate to see Yuzo Koshiro and was quite merry after a few bevvies. As it finished up I spotted Adrian at the edge of the dance floor and ran up and seized him in a bear hug. He was, as per form, extremely genial about a sweaty, lager-scented man he knew from a games forum running up and embracing him without warning. Had a nice chat afterwards as we walked from the club to the tube with him and his mates he was with.

Feels awful losing one of our own. I didn’t know him well but he was a good guy. I feel for his family.

This is ****ing awful news to see.

Adrian and I stayed near each other when I lived in London and we'd pop round each others places often. As has already been said, an absolute gent of a man who I had all the time in the world for.

A couple of months ago he randomly and unannounced just walked in to my shop up here in Scotland, and we had a lovely few hours chatting over a beer in my little tap room, just catching up about this and that and of course lots of conversation about retro video games. I'm very glad now to have been able to spend that time with him.

Absolutely heartbreaking to hear he's gone. He would always mention his poor health but never went in to detail about it when we talked.

Only knew him through deals and resultant chats.

Top chap. Top chats. Top taste. Top outlook.

And a top first name too.

It's an absolute crime, would just like to pay my respects, lad had great taste in games and knew his stuff, will be sorely missed.

I've been away from the forum for a while and when I got the news this morning about this I wasn't sure what to do with myself.

                      I've felt numb all day.

I don't think I've ever met anybody like Adrian. He was the definition of a gentle giant.

I, along with many, many other people, will miss him massively.

Jesus, what terrible news. Just happened upon it on Bluesky. I met Adrian at one of the forum meetups many years ago and we got on really well. (Any person who recommends Berserk is going to be great.) Always had a lot of time for him and liked him a lot. Absolutely gutted to hear that he's no longer with us. Hope his family are okay.

I don't really know how to reply to this. Gutted.

I first met fuse back in 2018 with other BD folk for a get together in London.

This news has hit us hard, and I’m still processing it.

He was a top bloke with a heart of gold and he was taken too soon.

                            I’ll miss him.

Very sad loss, tho I come and go from the forum and the discord too often to really get to know people...he always came across as a friendly dude. The fact so many people are popping in to talk about him so warmly proves that.

But my memories of Fuse were from laughing away grinding EDF Insect Armageddon back in the day and him being the one and only bidder on my copy of Obut Petanque.

I also know by stalking his trophies on PSN I'd always find a good game...was trying to beat him to the Raiden Nova platinum, but I'll let him keep his lead over me for good now.
                              R.I.P.
