    Tonight im doing mixed vegetables and sliced meat all done on a wafer thin base of bread served with lashings of bolognese sauce.
    Or as the real me calls it frozen pepperoni pizza

          See, I thought you were doing it yourself.

          I'm heading to London soon and will pop into Tokyo Diner for a nice katsu-don and their amazing teriyaki chicken side dish.

                Heh heh, yeah happy days.

                I certainly won't be copying the wife & daughter who are out there at the moment by eating those baby sardines sprinkled over their rice.

                    Big fan of good rice pudding, it is easily in my top 10 puddings of all time.
                    Spent the afternoon gettting the ingredients for my weekend attempt of Chicken Katsu, I plan to make the sauce from scratch but have bought a jar just in case. Will have to track down the breadcrumbs tomorrow.
                    Tonight I am making pasta with courgette sauce and spinach balls.

                      Made the chicken katsu and it was ace. I have even taken a photo which I will tragically put on the forum later. It is a winner all the way. Had it with coconut sticky rice and and some pickled chilli chinese cabbage.

                        Spooky as thats what i made today as the curry blocks needed using up, Turned out pretty good if i say so myself. However i put loads of veg in the katsu as i don't like it as a runny sauce like wagamamas do it.

                        Tadaa (lol yes i do take pics sometimes if it turned out pretty well, lol sad iknow)


                        Because i was already in full cook mode i also whipped up some Takoyaki, only way i can get to eat them as lets face it, Leeds is pure **** for japanese food. Hell i have never seen Takoyaki on the menu anywhere in London for that matter,

                            likewise that looks pretty tasty, never tried it with pickled cabbage before that sounds nice i might have to give that a whirl.

                            Yup Takoyaki are little balls of batter that are fluffy inside, in each one theres a tiny bit of octopus. On the top of them is okonomiyaki sauce (tastes a bit like ketchup/soy/woucester sauce combined), powdered seaweed, bonito flakes & mayonnaise. The flavours all combined together give an amazing taste.

                            Theres a fantastic youtube channel called cookingwithdog, that has taught me a lot of japanese recipes including the katsu curry one & takoyaki. Theres a lot of different things they have made & the videos are easy to follow.

                              This thread isn't fair! We are due to get our big monthly shop in a couple of days, so my supper is likely whatever I can scrape together out the freezer

                                Massive pasta bake for four people with 500g pasta, 1.5 jars of sauce (no I'm not making it can't be arsed), carrots, sweetcorn, brocolli, meatballs, chilli, onions, and a huge mozerella ball all over the top, and loads of black pepper.

                                One of the only things I can cook knowing other people will definitely like it.



                                It'll look better cooked I promise, what you can't see is that the dish is about 6 inches deep, this thing is a mammoth. Do I really need garlic bread on top? Yeah better do.
