I should probably update also. I did get my angiogram in time for the weekend, unfortunately though the results weren't the clear bill of health I was looking for. Turns out the heart disease they diagnosed some three years ago has progressed very aggressively, and has trashed another set of arteries. More stents is likely the best option but is going to be complicated based on which ones need work. Still in hospital now, likely going to be transferred to another more specialist one, and really just doing a lot of waiting right now for their medical board to decide what to do with me.

Indeed, my Dad had three stents inserted after a heart attack a couple of years back and touch wood all fine since. Hope it all goes well fuse.

I've got an appointment on Friday with a consultant at the Priory hospital. Chronic drinking and drug use has led me into a dark spiral of depression. Unfortunately I took all my unhappiness out on my then partner, who subsequently left because of the awful verbal abuse I subjected her to. Luckily I have private health cover which will pay for it, it's 5k a week for treatment there!

Yeah hope things work out. Always sad to hear of these cases but always good to see people talk about them. Nothing better than admitting your problems and trying to get help.

Good luck amigo, and good work on making steps in the right direction.

On my side of things I've been at home resting up for the past week or so, but today I'm back in to hospital for some tests, and them hopefully stents tomorrow. Quite possible I'll be into double digits given I've had 5 before!

Not sure if anyone is keeping tabs, but this here is a man on the mend! I didn't need rehab. I'm attending AA and NA, plus I have some meds, plus counselling twice a week. There's a long way to go but things are on the up.
