I might have to pop to see my GP. Steadily putting on weight in the last year, up to 11 stone now. My belly is rather portly for someone usually so slim. I exercise more than ever but am also more tired than ever.
I'm hoping things are as normal as they can be but the size of my stomach does worry me a bit. I don't eat lots of junk or any more than I used to. Hoping it's just an age thing.

I don't know how I did it - probably over training with rowing - but I've got a hernia It has pretty much ruined my season as I'm not in a position to be able to continue my pre-season training and by the time I get the op I'll have quite literally missed the boat. It's actually quite painful, just sitting at the desk all day at work is enough to cause a lot of discomfort, let alone doing anything on top of that.
I can deal with the pain OK but gutted about cutting back on the exercise. I was also down to do the three peaks in a few months, which isn't happening now.
Haven't tried cycling yet, that might be my saviour.
edit - spoke with the club today, I'm out of action now for almost the entire season. Thankfully today I passed the coxing course so at least I can still be involved. Definitely missing out on all of the big regattas and defence of the ones I won last year. Bit of a ****ter tbh.Last edited by PeteJ; 15-03-2015, 11:39.

Volcanic Diarrhoea with stomach cramps that feel like I am being fisted by a gorilla. Awful...had no sleep since midnight Saturday...so thought I'd come here to tell you guys about it
If it was food that did this it was tesco BBQ chicken wings...obviously can't prove it but I was dubious about a couple of them at the time, still scoffed the lot tho.
I don't really get Ill...just texted my manager about not coming in today and it felt like I was lying...phoning in sick on a Monday looks so dodgy.

I have had severe face pain for over a week now. It hit seriously intense on Sunday and has been horrific ever since. It goes through spikes that actually have me in tears. The problem is that nobody can identify what is causing it. The pain does not stay in the one place. It has sharp targets that feel like that must be the source and then 20 mins later it is just as sharp somewhere else instead.
The GP thought it could be a sinus infection and put me on antibiotics. Then when it got worse he sent me to a face pain specialist guy who reckoned it has to be a severe toothache referring pain around my face. My dentist checked the tooth he suspected and all looked fine. He has checked several potential offenders and could see no signs of anything that could cause even a minor toothache. So the two of them got talking and have put me on stronger painkillers hoping that the pain will localise.
And today I think I might have identified an offending tooth. I really hope it's this one because they'll probably do a root canal on it but there is still a chance that they'll do that but it's not the right tooth, if it is even teeth, and I'll still be in pain.
It has been a bit of a sucky week.

So yesterday we thought we might have identified the cause. As you can see above, I was concerned we would do a root canal on a healthy tooth. Well... we did a root canal on a healthy tooth. Today I'm worse and the root canal has had no positive effect whatsoever. Bugger.
I am on so many painkillers I barely know where I am. Which is making work funny because I have a beyond-ridiculous deadline for something.
