My current spam-du-jour are the ones written completely in Russian. I've got no idea what they say, although sometimes they have pictures of leather swivel chairs.
What did I do to deserve that?

I've changed my address from a catchall to a set of specific addresses. Spam is slashed to a tiny proportion. I keep getting bounce backs from russian servers though telling me the emails I've been sending them don't have any real recipient addresses. Then there's the attachments with the viagra.

Occasionally I like to forward these to one of my spam email address and start off like I'm really interested in helping them.

I like to let it go on for a while trading bits of made up personal information about my families background etc. If I do really well I like to have a couple of them going at the same time.

After I feel I've really got them to trust me I start introducing bits about how I shouldn't really be speaking to them as some of my emails are monitored due to working for the secret service!

If they don't get bored of this I then say that I've been discovered by my boss and that they should never email me again for their own protection...but I have a colleague who I trust with my life and that they should email them but as a security measure they should never mention anything about the money they want to transfer to me and to never ask my colleague any questions about anything.

Obviously my colleague, due to working for the secret services just like I do will not be able to act straight away so they should send them an email just discussing everyday things at midnight every other day just so my colleague knows everything is going to plan and they would then reply to that email talking about similar stuff.

I then give them the email address of the other spammer I've been leading along and tell them almost the same story but that my colleague will email them first and that they must reply midnight the next day.

I've only managed to get it to work once out of 7 or 8 times that I've tried...but it kept me entertained for a while!

I just like the idea of the two spammers send junk mail to each other and spending weeks talking about absolutely crap lol.
