It's been snowing all night here, and it's snowing like hell again now. Funny living in a student accomodation complex, everyone's outside having a great laugh.

Me? I ain't going out in the cold!

EDIT - I'm just told a lot of the buses aren't in service here - wtf?!

Back in the day (1986) I was at Stafford, my hall was out in the sticks. Got snowed in for a week, rooms were freezing - ice on the INSIDE of the non douple glazed windows. The one redeeming feature was the hall was based at a pub that had a roaring log fire and served real ale. Spent a fortune.

Got a phone call at 7:30am from manager saying don't bother, so I obeyed her

Not that I had much choice anyways, my brother had already left the flat and come back saying no trains had run at all through our station. So working from home today.

Started snowing somewhere between 6-7pm here last night and it hasn't stopped since afaik. Probably a foot depth in some places and most vehicles have a few inches piled on top. Kids are out playing. Everyone not in work is in the pub by the looks of it. No food delivering in the supermarkets so I can't buy more milk or other daily consumables.

I didn't even bother trying to get in, turned on the radio and it said there were no trains on South Eastern. And fortunately I left my laptop at the office on Friday, so no working from home malarkey and so it was back to bed for me!

Does England never get any snow? We get heavy snow here in Aberdeen a good few times a year, and life just goes on as normal (teuchters sometimes get stranded but thats because there is nothing around them!). I wish I would get a day off for snow!

Snowing here in Wiltshire - although it's covered everything I don't think it's going to last at all. Unless it snows and freezes hard enough to bring down telephone lines it doesn't mean anything, as I can work from home.

Looks like I made the last train out of London, it is rammed. Still, pub should be just half an hour away now and tide should be in. Happy dayz.
