My drive is sloped also merf, twice in the last couple of weeks I've not been able to get off the drive. Add that to a couple of days my car wouldn't start I've spent more time on public transport this month than in the last five years!

I have the same problem. If I park in the garage as soon as my front wheels hit the snow I go nowhere. Left the car on the road last night to make sure that didn't happen.

i have just used a full tank of hot water, painstakingly taken out bucket by bucket and moved about 5 feet back and 1ft sideways (onto yet more ice). Had to give up.

so frustrating as totally clear road is only about 15ft away !

oh well, at least you chaps feel my pain, I was trying to go out for a hangover cure fry up as well.

Last year it took me 90 minutes to clear my drive (Ended up doing my neighbours as well, because I'd pretty much ended up stranded across both of them). Buggered if I'm going through that again!

Sun! Yesterday evening it started rain but during the night it became snow, not enough to cover roads again but enough to have me spend 5 minutes cleaning up the car. Now sun is shining and snow is beginning to melt.

Horrendous down here, had to go to Southampton hospital for one of our boys eye test follow up, 4 seperate accidents on the way down we saw, including one within 90 seconds from our close! Another included a bus and was a four-vehicle pile up.

Despite all this, f*cking idiots were overtaking like crazy down the longer roads.

              MORONS.

Some people are driving like complete fecking idiots. I was going 45 down a country road and a van flew up behind me doing about 70, over took and 5 mins later I see him facing backwards in a hedge by the side of the road. I flashed my lights and honked my horn...nob!

Tomorrow I am meant to be getting a train from here to Basingstoke, where I am then being picked up by my sister for the second half of the journey home to Poole. What have I just seen?

I can't vouch for what it's like heading south out of Basingstoke, but I've driven to Reading this morning (And will be driving back to Basingstoke soon) and haven't had any trouble. Still, I'm sure there's a train that goes straight to Poole via Basingstoke from Waterloo - why not save yourself the worry?

Most of the cars were gone or in the process of being removed, you should be OK either way.

I'm currently stuck at heathrow following a cancelled flight to Munich. Spent the length of Avatar standing in a queue and I'm now booked for a flight at 8pm. Can't checkin until 3hours before flight (due to unsure conditions) so am stuck in the rubbish side of the airport for another length of Avatar (and then have to wait a third Avatar in departures).

May or may not be caused by snow. Probably not as no other flippin flight is affected. Typical :/

Two friends of mine went to Barcellona for the weekend and they were supposed to get back yesterday...today they let me know that they will probably get back on the 27th.

Wow, thats like 6 Die Hards or 1 Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

This is how time should be measured.
