I'm guessing I'm the only chump in work today when I'd rather be snuggled up playing 360...

Not to bad here in Luton, with only a very soft layer of snow. The buses were still running in my area which is a first I think during snowy conditions and all the main roads it went down were clear. Either by some miracle the snow missed the main roads or the more unlikely thing occurred and Luton council were actually prepared for snow this time and gritted the roads in advance.

We had a bit last night in Ealing but little more than a couple of inches tops left in the morning. Still hasn't stopped transport descending into chaos though, N. Acton (where I work) was closed due to overcrowding this morning, so I went and 'panic bought' a bacon roll and a coffee waiting for it to re-open.

Spent almost an hour trying to dig the car out, but it's hung up on mounds of snow and ice. Even if we did get out, the estate road consists of two icy treads. If you meet someone coming the other way you're screwed, you' d have to try and reverse up the ice and/or swerve into the foot of snow either side of the treads, getting stuck in the process.

tbh it's so bad up here that I think it's damned dangerous and inconsiderate that schools traffic are clogging up the roads. The emergency services don't have a hope in hell of getting through the mess of traffic.

Between 4-5 inches here - enough for me to work from home. Lovely. Work's vpn is crapping out too so webmail only GET IN THERE!

*update no.1* It's just started throwing it down again.

SNOW - A particularly busy time for BBC news reporters who swarm out in their hundreds to stand in the snow and state the bleedin' obvious.

About 8 inches here in Guildford this morning, not enough to stop those of us that live local from getting into work.

See, even snow can't stop us coding games! Nyaha!

If I was within a mile or two of work I'd have walked in. 20 miles is pushing it though.

Meh, took me 3 hours to drive home last night! I was only traveling 3.5 miles out of the city! Grid-lock city..........

But it was nice to see kinds souls helping each other out. Some hot girl went ass over tit on the pavement next to me, so i had to stop and give her some assistance........

This morning is all icey slush! Might hafta walk home at this rate!

We had about 4cm from yesterday evening (and last night) here in Bedford, but it looks like its just started back up again.
It hasn't been too bad here, the main problem is when it freezes over at night and the pavements become slippery, then it's really quite annoying.
