More fecking snow. It's a pain in the arse really, should've stayed at home. I foolishly believed the BBC when they said the snow would turn to sleet and rain. Could end up snowing all day.

Looks like another driving lesson cancelled. I need to pass my test before the end of may and I'm running out of time ¬¬.

(I am trying to look on the bright side, seeing as our house has a burst pipe, and is flooding our downstairs convenience... and British Gas "Emergency" cover have failed to send someone out even though we called them 15 hours ago, so well before it started to re-snow here)
Have you turned off the water?

It's coming down again in Oxford
At least its covered up the frozen snow on the paths so I could actually walk at a decent speed.

I'm officially done with the snow now. It's just an excuse for people in my area to act like small minded little ***** (begins with a c, ends with a t and s).

It's pretty deep so at 9.00 last night the scumbag kids in the street decided to use the hill opposite my house to go sledging. Nothing wrong with that, except they seem to think that it's acceptable to use my car to crash into, at full speed, to stop themselves.

So out I go and politely ask them to be careful, only to find that one of the little troglodytes mums is actually sitting in the snow at watching him do it. Cue a load of abuse (to paraphrase) telling me to f'off, followed by the little darlings joining in and trying to antagonise me.

Admittedly the **** to normal person ratio is really high in this street. On top of everything else at the moment I've had a guts full.

Cars snowed in. Surrounded by *****. Have to try and did myself out to make sure I can get to my Mums funeral tomorrow. Good times

              Bloody hell, nightmare mate

Sorry to hear about your mum. Sounds like a week to forget.

                Stranded again.

Managed to get the car out of my drive, which was a start, then found myself stranded diagonally along the road unable to move. Much digging/pushing/rocking later and I managed to get the car close enough to the kerb to leave it there.

I love the snow as a rule, but I want it to be gone now.

Well. I have tried. We seem to have several stop cocks. One seems to have done the kitchen. One seems to have stopped upstairs. But I can't for the life of me find the one I need!

Take pictures of them doing it and the mother watching next time, complain to the police (ask to press charges of criminal damage).

Or pour a bunch of water down their driveway or around their car. Nice icy death trap. Boiling Water on an icy windshield (CRACK) is also a nice bit of revenge...

Probably best not to suggest things like that to me. In my current state of mind I may do something I'll regret.

No snow round here just black ice. Can't even get off my drive. At least on the snow you can walk on the damn stuff.

There is loads of snow over here in London too. Buses don't seem too bad, although traveling via tube quite prove quite difficult over the next few days.

You need to turn the one off outside (in a manhole or one of those keyhole shaped mini-grates you get on some streets). It's illegal under the water-bylaws but better than flooding your house (if anyone asks, it wasn't you). Of course you'll need the proper key to turn it (maybe someone you know or a neighbour has one).

Sorry I can't be of more help.

We're not at the stage that its causing us much of a problem yet, fortunately. It is coming out of the pipe, but at a rate that can be absorbed by tea towels The floor in the room is tiled as well so it's not that much of a worry.

Thank you for the advice though! Tis much appreciated
