That was a waste of time, I got there and they claimed by appointment was yesterday. I know thats not true as when I made the booking the girl mentioned that it would be two Tuesday's in a row as I had to have a normal eye test first. Now I have to cope with my broken glasses until next Wednesday.
Stupid Specsavers, I may be blind but I know I am not deaf.

I turned up for an eye test last Thursday to be told I was ten minutes late, therefore couldn't be seen. this despite the fact the waiting area was devoid of life. I too was told of my appointment time over the 'phone, so I couldn't argue the toss since I had no proof of my appointment time.
No problem I told the wee lassie, just get me a pair of glasses for the prescription you have on your records. No no no no no. Last presciption was over a year ago I was scolded.
I was given another slot yesterday which went ok. I now have a (work payed for) prescription, but guess who's not getting the order for new glasses.

These opticians do get a bit nazi-ish.
I tried to pick up some specs for a friend a couple of years back. Had all the measurements -3 for the right eye -2 for left etc etc. And they said no-way as it's a prescription thing.
Que? Glasses are not subsidised as far as I'm aware - so why can't I collect someone elses? It's not as if anyone is going to put them on and walk around all day bumping into people.
If someone mention litigation, that's the dumbest thing I've heard this morning.
(Since the lawyer sued the dry cleaners for $54million)
