I am always amazed by how quickly my standards will drop after a drink. I spent ages making tea tonight and had a 9 quid bottle of wine to go with it. Finished that off and fancied some more, couldn't be arsed to go to the cash machine so came back from the off licence with a 3 quid bottle of merlot. I am almost scared to try it.

i did think that as I was posting, but my standards when it comes to the ladies are always high. As for the wine, tastes bit like balsamic vinegar and ribena.

Speaking of time off school; as Easter is so early next year (third week in March roughly) kids have Good Friday & Easter Monday off, then have two weeks off for Easter in April ! never did that when I was at school (it's all to do with the way the terms fall blah blah blah).

Tough life! How long are summer hols these days? Used to be about 6/7 weeks when I were a lad.

Still the same, though think was seven full weeks off for "summer" this year.

Some area's are trialling shorter summer holidays I think, and giving the kids weeks off at other times in the year.

Yeah, the holiday this summer was a long one, it all balances itself out though. These extra days will be claimed back sometime later in the year.

Ive had the week off\o/ flown by though anyway i have to be careful here as theres all kinds 'pot calling kettle black' issues potentially, but is it national idiot week in the retro forum or something?
