I did a search and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere - they're not new but both geoDefense and GD Swarm are great tower defence games. A warning though, they are very difficult but oh so addictive!

Wasn't when it was released the other day. It looks like it was swiftly changed. The Japanese game App store is a mess. release dates are all over the shop. games just appear out of nowhere halfway down the release schedule most of the time or the same game will appear twice or three times.

Yakumo, yup Chu Chu Rocket's been out ages and I got it free at xmas as well.

I think it was part of the itunes different free app a day over xmas period.

It only just came out in Japan. Honestly, sometimes we don't even get some of the stuff. I remember wanting Rage HD but had to wait almost 1 month before it showed up on the Japanese App Store. Also about releases. Sometimes a game will be in the top 10 selling games even though it never appeared in the release list. It really is a mess.

Japan gets all the cool music stuff to itself though. Taiko, Jubeat, and a bunch of others I can't remember the names of.

Is it safe? I want to use my phone as a wifi hotspot as well but don't seem to be able to set it up...

Can anyone help?

I don't use The Cloud but I imagine it's totally safe, they're one of the largest public WiFi providers around. I have used it now and again in McDonalds and pubs in the past and it's worked fine.

Most networks (with the exception of 3 I think) will charge you ~15 quid a month for the ability to use your phone as a WiFi hotspot. Personally I think this is a colossal rip off and you should be able to use the data that you're already paying for on your mobile phone in any manner you wish - if you have an Android phone, apps like PDAnet will let you 'tether' your phone (use it as a mobile hotspot) without paying these kind of charges. On iPhone, iOS 4.3+ has a great personal hotspot feature built right in. If you want to unlock it without paying fees to O2 (or whoever), you need to jailbreak your iPhone and install a tweak from Cydia called TetherMe. It's $2 and it lets you use the built in Personal Hotspot feature without limitations, right from Settings.

For iPhone there is a further, more powerful alternative also available from Cydia called MyWi. This is a whole separate app that costs around $20 and has sophisticated options for tethering your phone and using it as a hotspot. I can confirm both of these methods on iPhone work great.

Well worth it mate. You get really accustomed to having a wireless hotspot in your pocket the whole time, it's very useful. Leave your phone plugged in using it at home though, it rinses the battery pretty hard.
