    It could be the best progamming in the history of mankind. But if none of us watch TV, or have any desire to watch TV, then it really means nothing to us, and paying a tax to play games kinda sucks.

      The TV licence people love targeting students. Funnily enough, I got away with not paying the TV licence for several months during my first year living in a Uni dorm.

      When I went home for me xmas holiday, I took the TV back and left it there - I didn't watch TV much at uni anyway.

            Yeah it pays for the BBC and also a bit towards Channel4, I think. And, having seen Australian TV, I'll happily keep paying for it!

              You don't need a license if you're not connected to an aerial. The TV in my flat isn't hooked up as I only use it for games and DVDs.

              The TV license people are OK with it.
