I though they want to prevent gang wars and such, but letting security firm to bid for policing isn't that exactly the same. All I can see is that deprived areas and ethnic communities will be run by thugs, community patrols yeah right, a new word for collecting protection money.
We don't need police, just give everyone a gun and annual supply of bullets, problem solved.
