Been getting back into ice pops recently, I'm absolutely addicted to them but I badly miss what I consider to be the apex of the ice pop world - the *Mr Freeze* ice pop.
I can't find them anywhere.
What I'm after are the longish 'medium' ones, maybe just over a foot in length. I'd be surprised if the the jumbo ones are still available, but I hold out hope.
I must've gone through thousands during my youth and early twenties, but our local shop turned into a Londis and they vanished, being replaced by a fridge full of Magnums and Calippos and the like.
I'm having to buy 'Planet Ice' ice pops from Jack Fulton (3 packs of 20 for ?1) but they're the very small ones, and though they're pretty decent, tangy and sweet, their size means you can go through them like a knife through butter. AND, they just don't taste as good as Mr Freeze (though, having said that, the modern-day Mr Freeze might've changed in flavour - anyone know???). ASDA have some decent ones, too, but they're still the small ones. There are some long ice pops out there, these horrible animal themed ones that are sugar-free, with a horrible, hard, glassy ice, and they are absolute turd.
So, to reiterate, I'm just wondering if there are any supermarkets or shop chains that stock Mr Freeze ice pops (I'm in Leeds, btw). I know they MUST still be around, as I see the occasional discarded wrapper when I'm out and about.
Any info would be welcomed greatly.
