TV licence is fine. If you don't have an aerial i.e. don't plug one in at any point, you don't have to pay. Ensure you detune all the channels a bit because even without an aerial, sometimes you can pick up a snowy picture and sound which would not be good.
Arrange for a home visit from a TVL agent and show them your gaming setup and all channels detuned.

So sorry to hear of your woes dude, it sounds like a terrible position to be in and I really hope you are able to get back on your feet soon - must be driving you mental!
May I suggest that you write a screenplay detailing what happened. Then, we'll all chip in £1 each for the airfare and accomodation so you can take the script to Hollywood, get that film made, and then live the life of riley, sippin' on Santana Champagne in ya big ass mansion and f*ck a bunch of non-polish bitches?! Sound ok?

My condolences Katsu, I think I can help.
I deal with the job centre daily through my job so can offer advice for you mate:
As you are getting dole money you may be entitled to council tax releif and housing benefit.
This also applies to private rents so if you see a place you would like to live in ,contact your local housing assoc or council offfice and see how much they can help you with. Most of the time it will be 100% of the rent and you will get relief on council tax.
With regards to your house situation as far as i know the housing lists use a points system and higher number of points you have the more of a priority you are.
Points are scord for things like you dont have anywhere to stay, kids living with you, health conditions.
You might have to live in a homeless block for week or so but you can get a flat /house pretty quickly if you satisfy the conditions.
Speak your local housing office and see where you stand.
For jobs etc, you can apply for help with the cost of going to interviews if outside the local travel area. Check with your local job centre to see what they deem as the local travel area.
You may also get help with buying a new suit or anything clothing wise for interviews and when you start back work .
You can also access training course's run by the job centre if you fancy a change in direction and need a new qualification for your line of work. The courses run are varied so its a good idea to know what you want to do then pop into your local office and ask them about it.
I'll pm you my mob number so you can call me for any more advice you need matey.
Oh, have a look at child tax credits as well mate. Not sure how it works tbh but every penny helps right now.
Chin up bud, you will get thru it!.Last edited by Robster; 28-07-2009, 14:36.

Kat! Sorry to hear about this mate.
Good luck sorting things out, remember it's not the cards you are delt that are important, its the way you play um.
Good things are often closer than you think, so just try and get through this hard spell the best you can.
Make sure that you get all the benefits you can, and cross check with the citezens advice bureau.
