The annoying thing is it'll probably work for Labour and they'll get in by a landslide again, only for the cycle to repeat.

London.
I'm going there wednesday and I am struggling like crazy to find somewhere to park, then probably tube in to the location. Do I drive into the congestion area and park near the location and pay parking? The car park I've located seems big enough (209) but apparently it's "not run by westminster council" anymore...does that means it's independantly run, or just plain closed now?
Or...do I drive to Richmond or Hammersmith and tube in, requiring changeovers along the way?
I've become such a yokel living out here in the sticks, I'm baffled at all of the information I need/can't find and at the moment I could just about say "bugger this" and not go!
I hate London tbh, I'm not even there yet and I'm already feeling the stress.

I'm learning to drive at the mo, & I mean from zero experience & only knowing how to open the door & put the seatbelt on.
..............but the amount of people who I've observed (as a pedestrian & learner driver) who dont indicate at roundabouts is unbelievable. Indicators are there for other drivers & pedestrians, & not to let others know what you're doing is asking for an accident.
I was walking back from work the other day & as I got to a roundabout I decided to watch how people approach it, just to get an idea of how to. In the 2 mins that I spent there 7 cars neglected to let others know that they were turning left, while a lot of others left it until they were turning off to finally indicate.
Also impatient selfish drivers. Yeah I'm new to driving & yes I'm gonna stall evey so often, but please dont try & dart passed me or muscle your way thru knowing that I'm new to it all just so you can shave the tiny 10 odd seconds off your journey time. Everyone was a learner at some point so think back & have some idea of what I'm doing ok.

I had a quick look at prices for just getting the train from here to Waterloo and it came out at £105 EACH at the cheapest...that cannot be correct surely?
Thinking of just hitting Richmond and tubing in. Done that before I think, so should be easy...ish.
I so hate London though, never been there and left thinking "Oh what a nice time I've had"
Thanks for the info though Randicoot!Last edited by Jebus; 05-09-2010, 13:49.

All Smeg appliances. They are supposed to be 'luxurious' and 'stylish' but my experience is that they are utter, utter sh**e and break of their own accord for no reason. Never. Ever. Buy. I'm certainly pleased I've never paid money for these things.
I'm assuming that appliances are like cars so there must be some good reliable German and Japanese brands out there rather than this Italian nonsense.Last edited by NW2013; 06-09-2010, 18:14.
