Degree in Hospitality v Hotel Management

A friend of mine is currently in a dilemma as to which degree to take on.

Does anyone have any comments on either?

I've had a look at the two courses and it seems like Hospitality overlaps Hotel Management which brings me to the question; why have two different courses if Hospitality covers Hotel Management?

I'd go for hospitality as otherwise you can literally only manage hotels. Forever.

They probably both do the same modules except one or two anyway if its anything like the uni I went to.

I agree with cutmymilk, hospitality is, at least on paper, far more diverse sounding, even if they both offer the same modules. Doing a degree in hotel management does not mean your first job after graduating will be managing a hotel, whereas a hospitality degree will get you a job working in a hotel to begin with first and foremost.
