One of the things I don't like about texts is that I have no idea if the person has received the message. If I talk to them, at least I know they have heard the words, even if it doesn't sink in. I'm sure one of you street urchins will tell me there's a read receipt option on texts......

But you can get away with so much more via text. You could even send something to the wrong number, then flash your sent folder as proof without showing the destination.

I send around 40 a day. I'm on o2 Unlimited £10 unlimited texts £15 + calls (o2)

My main reason is I've moved out of my home town to live with my girlfriend and I have a lot of friends dotted around the Country and also back in Cov.

I find it easier to text. I never text my parents though..always talk. Banks..Like to talk too. But friends, pre World Cup chat going on at the moment..its the little things you can put in a text that just seem to work. (it would in all honesty work in a talk conversation)

I don't think I could do this. I text all the time because it's more discreet than being on the phone when I'm at work.

I also text properly. Proper spelling, capitalisation, punctuation and grammar.

I only send about two texts a year and my mobile monthly bill is about 50p.
