Despite currently knocking my pan in 7 days a week at work, managed to get done early and home for half three today. A quick (much needed) tidy of the garden and sat and had a few beers in the glorious sunshine. My little haven is looking lovely apart from some patchy grass, must buy some, er, grass reviving? type stuff tomorrow. And then arrange a barbecue and get everyone round next weekend when I might actually get a day off.

Sun's now buggering off, but you get the idea. Man plan.

The wife coming home the other day after 12 hour shift and telling me she lead in the delivery of her first baby and placenta at the hospital, she's student midwife and needs to lead another 39 over 3 years, so she's off to a good start. Still can't get the smile off my face, crazy proud and just amazing to hear about first hand.

Odd story. Surely if they were having that much trouble getting the baby out they would go for a caesarian sooner?

With the impending European championships, I've been enjoying footage of previous tournaments. There's something magical about the grainy footage from the late 70's/ 80's/ early 90's, could sit and watch them all day.
