Who's in?
Or with sound:
For those of you who don't know (which will be most of you), it's a Mountain Bike race series, taking place in France, Sweeden and Peru (maybe others).
The French Alpe d'Huez leg is a 3 day event in July.
Day 1: Practice
Day 2: Qualifier 16km downhill - this determines which wave you go in on race day
Day 3: Race day - 30km enduro (mostly) downhill.
Race day is a 2.5km vertical descent. It starts on the glacier, so snow riding skills and the ability to deal with huge rocks and sharp things is essential. The huge course then needs enduro skills to keep it nailed for between 1 and 2 hours depending on how fit and bonkers you are.
5-7inch travel all-mountain / freeride bike recommended.
