That's cheap, they're £2 each at the Asda near me. Despite the many different ones launched recently, of the branded ones I find the Starbucks Double Shot is still the king

The costa cold cans are disgusting. I like starbucks too, though they are tiny.

Best ever are Rainbow Boss from vending machines / conbini in Japan.

Bonus points for having Tommy Lee Jones do the advertising.

I respectfully disagree. Rainbow Mountain was fine, Cafe Au Lait is superior.

Because money is an issue I'm relegated to Lidl's instant coffee. It's absolutely ****ing rank. I think I'd rather be tonguing the next door neighbour's cat's arse.

It's honestly a waste of milk and sugar.

That's the thing with Lidl here. Some of their stuff is legendary (crisps, pop, veg/fruits, dairy, bakery), while some of it is legendarily cack (coffee and beers, mainly).

I've been back in the UK two years now after living in Australia for 18 and seriously there is nowhere in the UK that makes a decent coffee.... All these chains, it's just crap. Over in Australia all the cafés are they're own entity, self owned mostly and just make great coffee.

So I only drink home coffee now, aeropress FTW!

There's your error, stop going to chains. There are plenty of specialist indy coffee places out there that make decent coffee with special roasts, Costa coffee is awful by comparison, I wouldn't touch the corporate chains.

Oh I don't go to chains in just saying they're really crap. There's just not much else out my way...

Really? I live in a small town and indie coffee places are everywhere (one opened up right next door to Costa). Well they were. I haven't been into town in ages so I don't know if any of them have closed. Hopefully the two I thought were both excellent will still be around when I'm eventually happy to sit in a public space for a couple of hours again.

You need to go to Kafae on the Square or Scandimania, can't say I've ever heard of Javawocky.

Looks like it's closed down and moved to Oakham.
