Spot on, I've read it a couple times today and thought exactly that, to describe it as genius is beyond me. It's about as funny as a dose of amoebic dysentery.

That said loads of people like Michael macyntyre, and peter Kay where the whole point of the humour is pointing out things that were popular 6 months ago or stuff everybody knows already.
