Tattoo help - Does anybody speak/write Tibetan?

For some reason, my sister has decided so wants a small tattoo of a phrase translated into Tibetan tattood, but does anybody know the best way of going about this? She can't speak or read Tibetan (I don't think) so she'd be relying on a translation, and she found this site:http://www.tibetan-calligraphy.com/t...emart&Itemid=3

They charge $40ish for a translation and text design which they email to you. Does that sound reasonable/reliable, or could you just walk into a decent tattoo place and get the artist to design you something similar for free? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I know nothing about tattooing. Any help appreciated.

Also, that website's email address was Gmail, aren't they usually considered disposable and a bit dodgy?

I can't help you out but the guy from this blog might - http://hanzismatter.blogspot.com/ There are some hilarious translations there. On the first page, someone has a tattoo that means 'dense growth of bush or rash'. Genius.

Oops! That's exactly the kind of thing I'd be worried about getting a language I don't understand permanently written on my skin!

Don't understand the fascination myself, I just want to make sure my Sis isn't getting something daft.

I would get one in Phags-Pa. But that's just me.
