I think I usually have an even number. I do it without making a conscious effort.

More annoying about tv is this: There is a mammoth difference between 0 and 1. 0 is obviously silent, but 1, especially at night lying in bed, is like some crytal-clear town crier booming around the bedroom. Yet between 1 and 5, there's sod-all difference. The amount of times the missus has said, "can you turn that down?!" and I've had to reply that it's only on 1.

Yeah, I pretty much always have to turn the volume to an even number on my TV. Some form of mild OCD, I guess.

At present, the voting is exactly 50/50!

What happens if the results end up as uneven numbers?

Shockingly, I'm not OCD about this at all. If I was, I would probably have to only use prime numbers.

I agree that it's annoying having to adjust the volume during the movie and always try to watch the volume I have the TV at - usually below 20 for the Wii and about 29/30 for movies.

I used to be like this until I started using graphic EQ for listening to different types of music. Now I trust my ears, or my eyes when configuring HSB.

I used to have everything on even numbers or multiples of five.

Actually, when I'm working on artwork I always uniform my colour values for things I'm going to be using more than once, easier to remember that way. No one wants to work with C:14.79%% M:68.04% Y:51.92% K:27.82%, they especially don't want that documenting in a branding guideline. 15,70,50,30 is much better.

On my old telly it always had to be set to 31, my newish Bravia is so quite, I quite often watch movies in the 75 to 85 region (100 being the max) that said I like to turn it back down to 31 before I turn off tho, this is normal yes?

I always turn my amp down to low levels before I switch off for the evening as well, although not a specific number. Just -40dB or less.

I think everyone has a little bit of OCD in them, I know I used too. Yes I do the tv thing, but only with the tv and not the DTS system, strange.
Also years ago I used to have an obsession of touching things equally 8 times with both hands. Only things like doors and windows, nothing else but it was strange. Somehow snapped out of it though.

I've never been OCD or superstitious, but a while back I found myself only listening to my car stereo's volume in even increments.

Ironically, going full-circle with the thread title, Spinal Tap allowed me to go to 11 and released me forever more from such foolishness.

I have the exact opposite. I cannot set anything to multiples of 5, specifically alarms

The same goes with the volume on my surround sound. 14 for quiet, 19 for loud.

The problem is changing volume between various channels, and that adverts always seem to be much louder than the programs.

15 or 20 on my tv, depending on what standard of sound is being produced. Can't be anything else, unless I'm watching a film on DVD/Blu, and then sometimes it has to go to 40, because the sound is soor poor (quiet).

Glad to see I'm not the only one that has 'issues'!

At the moment us eveners have it. That means if you tune your TV's volume to an odd number, you're a freak!
