How's that working out for you?

Use this thread to report on and evaluate your current "projects" in life. Fun is sure to be had.

    Getting a new apartment
Want to sell my current flat because it's quite small, and I desire such luxury items as dishwashers and bedroom doors. Also wouldn't mind having a terrace now that the sun has arrived. My apartment also gets hotter than hell in times like these. Have been talking to the bank about a loan. Despite earning about 50% more than what I did when getting my current loan, they have been surprisingly reluctant. I talked to a real estate agent to get a price estimate on my flat, and it's seems to have increased a lot in value. There are still very few flats out there I can actually afford, so I'm not sure how it will go. Overall, I'm optimistic.

    Doin' them school things
I don't have an education. Decided to take exams in a couple of subjects. Initially signed up for three. The first one I missed due to being kinda sick, and because I hadn't sent in some list about material I had studied. The two others ones are due the coming week. I need to get an average of 4 out of 6 (we have a weird grading system in Norway) to be able to apply for my dream job. Have looked a bit on last semesters test, and they seem ok. The subjects are math and english, which I both think are okay subjects. History and biology on the other hand...

Will report back as things develop, or new projects materialize.

        What Kernow said.
Is this subtle trolling or something? I'm off to read the rocball thread for a bit of normality.

No. Sorry to all. Thought this would be fun. [sad smiley]

          Edit:
Why would you think so? I look at this like the expanded version of either the 'Irk' or 'Smile' thread. Where people could post lengthier reports on the bigger going ons in their life.

I don't get what's wrong with this thread. Ok, the computer one was a lot leftfield, but surely this one is just like an offtopic version of the "games you promise to finish" thread.

                  Why? [the same smiley]

                  Creating fun threads
Wanted to create a thread where people share and discuss the big happenings in their life. To my surprise people responded very poorly. I struggle to see why that is. It might be because some of my previous threads and comments have been in poor taste in other peoples view. If so, I don't think a thread should be judged by the person creating it, or the number of threads he or she have recently created. I could be wrong. Maybe people really didn't want to share this sort of stuff in this fashion, though I don't think it's that much different to other threads we currently have. I'm honestly boggled. Will try to keep a low profile for a little while. Hopefully peoples acceptance of me will grow.

                          Moral Dilemma 03.5
You have an idea for a new thread but posting it might spark a mutiny. On the other hand you could play it safe and not post but doing so could lead to a revival of repeated Religion and Sean Bean discussion. How would you choose?

                          Lol

I don't really have much in the way of a current plan. My aim from Sept 2011 to Sept 2012 is to sell my car, clear some debts, save up, buy a flight, find an apartment, move in with the gf, live in sin, go back to west coast USA for 3 weeks and get drunk sometimes. Till that starts the plan is to do naff all, progress? 11/10!!

                            Cockroach War

I went and picked up some supplies today, the main one being this industrial strength cockroach repellent that you dilute with water and spray along your skirting and wherever roaches might usually hang out. Before applying we cleaned out the entire room, went through every box and every single last garment of clothing in the cupboard. We uncovered two of the largest damn bugs I've ever seen, and even worse one was prepping it's wings to take-off! If that had happened I'd have been taking-off back to the UK for good.

Everything is sparkling now, and after applying this repellent my eye sockets feel like they are sun-burned, it's that strong. The wardrobe is filled with moth balls now as well which is meant to keep them out of there.

Also made some toxic bait balls out of boric acid, water, flour, sugar, spring onion and chicken fat, and left them in corners of the kitchen and the landlord's storage room which is a right ****ing mess, it's like Wall-E's house. Basically the roach thinks it's some yummy food, chomps down on it, feels a bit sick, then returns home to die. Once it's dead back in the nest the others will eat it, in turn consuming a poisonous corpse and becoming poisonous corpses themselves, and so the chain continues... It reminds me of the Seed of Corruption on WoW, I miss that spell.

We're 100% positive this room is roach free, and concerning this burning face sensation even I'm thinking twice about coming back into the room every time I leave it, so I doubt any roaches will want to come back in. Can't really report a x/10 progress yet until I know they are gone for good.

I really want a mosquito net for the window. Might get a bit stuffy though as we don't have air con here, another huge draw-back.

You're trying to accomplish what a nuclear holocaust will (possibly) not. You will fail.
