    Good question.

I've only ever heard/seen of OCD tendencies which take the form of tidiness/order.

    Can OCD/chaos tendencies co-exist within a person?

Well they do call it a disorder. More fun would be a pleasant version of Tourette's where people compulsively shout complements at people.

I think OCD is really interesting as it can take many forms. My friends friend had a bad case of it where she used her phone to video herself switching off her hair straighteners. She could then watch the video back if she began to worry she left them on.

I have a little OCD which requires me to wash my hands as soon as I get home from work. I cannot do anything else unless I wash my hands and they start feeling heavy if I don't do it. (my hands don't really get dirty at work btw)

Just remembered I used to have another one when I was about 8. I could not go to sleep unless all my draws were fully shut.

Most OCDs are to do with symmetry (aligning things) or tidiness but other do exist like trying the handle 3 times after you have locked the door just to make sure it's locked. (I don't do that)

That's excellent! We could all do with a bit of that Tourette's.

The idea that things are "not worth knowing" because it doesn't impact on our daily lives is preposterous. Without science and innovation, the world would be a very different place... not much would have changed since the cavemen.

I think I will bow out of this one.

I fall under this one, as a kid I used to entertain myself by gathering absolutely everything in the house that wasn't stuck down and re-arrange it all into symmetrical abstract patterns on the floor. Much like Bob Geldof does on 'The Wall'. I always used to get bollocked for it, which was a bit **** really, and my grandparents used to try replacing the habit by buying me paint sets and pencils but I was always ****e at drawing, and I still am.
