My children were both 4 days early, my wee bhoy was induced due to a lack of fetal movement so he was helped quicker into the world

Jesus!! What a day.

In for observation for the reduced movement. Missus hooked up to a machine to monitor foetal heart rate Vs contractions. Kept being told that they couldn't get a decent enough reading to match the criteria needed to decide what to do.

The midwife kept saying that they'd check dilation progress once they could get a decent reading but on and on it went.

Then at 17.50 my missus is screaming in utter agony the midwife asks "Does it feel like you want to push? We'll have a check 'down there'".

Cue surprised gasps all round when she says "Erm...baby's head is visible!!"

Baby boy born 18.29. Weighing 7lbs 5oz.
