    Are you a bastard?

    A legitimate question.

I just learned the true meaning of the word, by which a bastard is one born to a woman and a man who are not legally married. I always thought it meant you never knew who your dad, or even your mum were.

I'm guessing there are lots of bastards around these days, so I decided to make this poll.

No lying, be totally honest. And getting married after you were born doesn't NOT make you a bastard.

I'm not in the sense the question is asking.

If you'd have meant do I look out for number one and be strict in stances with people then yes, I'm a complete and utter bastard

To my knowledge, no. I guess my question would be - does it matter? We're all here now.

Such an odd thread lol... I didn't realise teh term related to girls as well as boys. But there goes teh english language, how anything these days can be used derogatively (sp).

But i do enjoy polls so, the more teh merrier (for teh time being)

Nope. Parents were married 10 years before I was born.

I was at my parents wedding was only a little bambino though. So yup I am a bastard !!

Although bastard does feel like a word associated with males - being female it does feel odd to say that

What a coincidence, I was married 10 years before my parents were born. True story.

How can people go through life not knowing the true meaning of bastard? LOL, it was one of the first words I looked up in the dictionary as a kid.
