Chistmas Trees: What are you packing?

Now I'm a proper grown-up 'n' everything I decided to FINALLY buy myself a grown-up Christmas Tree!! Went for an half-price artificial 6ft "Windsor Fir" from Tesco. Bauble-wise this badboy will be rocking 10x Shiny Midnight Blue, 10x Shiny Oxblood Red, 4x Shiny Gold. Plus an additional 5x Tartan Hearts and 12ft of Tartan Ribbon.

Only problem (and the reason for the lack of pics/my drowning my sorrows with Amaretto and Coke) is that half the white twinkly LEDs on my lights are dead so I need to take those back for a working pair before I'm up and running

So what are you guys packing? Any pics? I'm looking to steal creative/festive decorating tips

I have a real 6" which the kids decorated and then I redid later - their effort looked like someone had crashed into it with a box of decorations stuck to the front of the car - all the at the top where they had climbed up the stepladder.

I don't have a tripod, so shaky vision with flash off to see the lights, but I think I need some fat tinsel on there - it's all looking a bit thin at the mo.

Just noticed the zebra hanging from the ceiling in the pic... I was looking for that earlier.

Yes, there are some cool slices of orange hanging from the tree.

The wife is currently re-decorating ours after the kids did their interpretation of how a christmas tree should look.

Will post a photo once it's all complete, which, based on current projections, is probably tomorrow!

This is ours, we went for the minimalist look with just lights and baubles, but a single piece of gold tinsel got snuck on there

Gone for a 6 foot green tree which was kindly donated by my girlfriend's parents. My Mum makes Christmas decorations in the winter so we have icicles, beaded hearts & stars too. She also knits little Santa, Angels, Choirboys & Snowmen. Awesome they are. I'll post some pics.

I'm so lazy I use a 4 ft black fibre optic tree I got a couple of years ago from b+q takes 10 mins to put up 5 to put down and 30 seconds to decorate (turn on the power) But it's not going up till after the bt guy comes on the 20th too much effort

You must have a really teeny house for that 6" tree to look like 6ft

Not putting either of our trees up until the week before Xmas day. Simple reason why I wait until then.
Kittens + an indoor tree + decorations = Well yeah, you can guess.

Nice pink pram you have there Charles!

We have a little fake tree that I've had for over 10 years now (man, doesn't feel that long!) so is a little worse for wear but alright. Not done amazingly but tried to keep to a gold/silver theme:

The mrs put ours up today, loving Christmas even as an oldie - Got no kids to enjoy it with though. Bet its ace having kids at this time of year.

Anyhow, I still went out and bought some candy sticks and chocolates to hang on it, my little niece will be round at some point but she's a little young just yet to understand wtf is going on.

                      Heheheh. good spot.

erm also, I just realised it's a good couple of feet taller than me and I'm 6', so it must be more like 8'.

                        Another Christmas sans-tree.

For decorations I have a string of lights on the wall behind the sofa with 2 stockings, a massive piece of gold tinsel behind the tv with my cat's stocking and my Christmas sack (always bulging this time of year), and another massive piece of tinsel but red this time in my tiny hallway.

At least it's been snowing for nearly 24 hours and I just bought 4 Chocolate Oranges to blast away the seasonal blues.

We finally got the lights on and tree done!! Picture doesn't quite do it justice :

Also put some nice lights behind the sofa:

And I'm going to try find some white faux fur (to wrap the ugly grey stand) and a fluffy bobble to make my Wii look like a Santa hat xD:

Ohhhh a White Tree? I was going to go in that direction with brightly coloured clear glass baubles but a good quality white tree proved impossible to find in these parts so I went for the more traditional look
