Just had a call from my Bank asking me to pop in to review my account

Anyone have this happen to them before, they said there is no problems etc they just want to review my account see if its best for me. So i'm guessing this is kind of like a sales pitch for them, is that right?

Well I have had this call and to be fair they showed me a lot of account options but decided it was best I stay where I am.
Good service and worth popping in.

I used to get this a lot, it'll be looking to see if they can upgrade your account (usually to one with a monthly charge). Refuse a few times and they'll leave you alone if your not interested

Thanks nakamura, just worried it was going to be a hard sales pitch or something.

I went in when we got married, found out the missold me a 8 month scheme for my account. Told me it was cas I had a credit card and for phone banking. Turned out it was for phone insurance, aa and holiday insurance. I didn't have a phone till 2yrs ago, I have a motability car so free insurance and I'm not allowed to go abroad. Been paying it for 11yrs but they at first would only give me 1yr. Told em would take em to ombudsman and get statutory max 2 so they agreed to that. Walked ou with over 250 back lol. It will be a sales pitch to offer you a new account, credit card etc...

Remember you are only "popping" in. You can wear your slippers and house coat if you like.

Yeah they will probably want to talk to you about upgrading your account. It's a crap thing to do when they say they they want to talk to you (I got a letter about it once) as you start to worry unnecessarily.

I got this and they suggested I move my money from an instant online savings to a nest egg account which gained me a fair bit of extra interest.

I just got an email from barclaycard titled "Payment Reminder". Alarm bells rang! Did I forget to pay my card off this month!? No. It was a reminder that I can set up a direct debit to make payments. Basts!

I get a text every month from Barclaycard telling me that my statement is ready... I don't have a Barclaycard though, some cack handed person has set it up the reminder service, mistyped their number and managed to enter mine.

This. Me. Yesterday. From an online saving account earning 0.7% to a mutual mortage fund account earning ~2% and with monthly additional transfers. This is something I was quite happy to sign up for (and they're looking into increasing my CC limit and getting my security back for me).

Go in and see, if you don't like it don't do it.
