My irk:

Had some time to kill this evening and decided to ring random friends and family members. Skype call to my uncle turned into a tech support mission as he'd been fleeced by one a dodgy tech support company who charged him ?230 to basically TeamViewer in and install a cracked copy of AVG 2013.

After about 20 mins I made up an excuse and left him to it, telling him to ring his bank. He's a nice guy and I'd do anything for him but the call basically undid all the good work from my soak in the bath

Super tall guys going out with extremely short woman. Me (a shorty at 5'8) and a female friend who is 5'10 were discussing this the other day. If the tall guy goes for the super short woman, then all that is left is the shorter guys and the taller women, and no woman ever wants to date a shorter man. I have sod all chance as it is without these man mountains picking up the women I may potentially have a chance with. :/

Just go for the ones with a bubbly personality. The normally say thanks afterwards too, so I hear.

I'm 5'8" and my previous girlfriend was 5'11" so that's not quite true I'd say... and us breaking up wasn't anything to do with height.

In all honesty, what does surprise me is that you're single cos... you certainly come across as passionate, intelligent and verbose on these here parts.

Oh, and I have all three of those games CIB

It's not that surprising, I'm annoyingly cheery, girly and I talk too much. Which doesn't work with the kinds of guys I meet who always fall into three types (this is an irk actually so worth expanding on):

1. Athletic, "Strong and Silent"-types (boring, no conversation)
2. Aspiring doctors (smug, workaholics with superiority complexes, no sense of adventure or fun)
3. The 2010s answer to "Nathan Barley"

As for the height topic I think women do ideally want a taller guy (just as I imagine guys want a shorter girl) BUT I'm 5'4 (the EXACT UK average for a woman) so I'm 5'6 or 5'7 in heels and ideally I'd want someone 5'8 to 6'0 (the UK average for a guy is 5'10 so that's perfect). I couldn't be with someone over 6'0 though, I'd feel like Smurfette all the time.

Sounds like simply being a medical student is causing these social woes. Do you really want to put up with people that fit into those categories for the rest of your professional life?

I can't see QC's video as I'm in work currently (watching random drunk people walk in and out of the hotel like their actions matter). I'm guessing it's that rare video of me drunkenly harrassing my hot J-staff, circa 2004?

I never had issues with clothes, etc. in Japan (5'10", size 9 shoes) but my ex did as she's not 5' tall.[/stereotype]

Or Cuban heels and spike your hair up? Women are crazy bitches anyway, I'd never date one.

I will give them a try, but I'm not sure cuban heels will complement the casual hip hop look I'm currently rocking. Give me a fedora and a fur coat and I'd be two steps away from looking like a professional pimp; which might be sending out the wrong signals!
