^^^ you know fruit and fibre is not that good for you right? It has over 10% of your RDA sugar in it, and depending on which one you buy you may be getting high fructose corn syrup which is horrid stuff (its called glucose-fructose syrup in the uk) its pretty bad apparently

well done on the other stuff though

      It looks so healthy. :/

      What's a decent alternative?

Porridge sweetened yourself with honey / maple syrup ( yourself not a pre pack one)

          Addicted to Milk Chocolate?

Get the rawest, darkest chocolate you can find then when you need a fix have a nibble. You will hopefully find you cannot eat as much at once like you can milk chocolate. It is tough to give chocolate up if addicted IMO, I find it is easier to trick your brain by slowly lowering the amounts whilst improving quality of ingredients. You could just be addicted to sugar though and just seek it through Chocolate flavored animal fat. (Gotta use these images to ween yourself off! )

            he he xD

I will try and ween myself off with the dark chocolate. I think the problem might be I can eat tons of that too!

Maybe dark chocolate and those cereal bars will be a decent replacement?

Had a good long think last night regarding motivation after talking about it with Fade. Decided to go and get a massive mirror as I think that might have been one of the elements that got me into shape before i.e. seeing my fat ass transform over the months.

Plus I think it'll give me that morning workout motivation to get a few sets in if I see myself all porky and bloated when I wake up.

Feel like I'm making progress already.

What about dashing some good quality cocoa powder in your porridge (once a week), although chocolate craving in the morning is extreme!

Dried fruit and a couple of dark choco pieces is a nice combo. Throw in some brazils/walnuts/raw cashews and you have a healthy (in moderation) snack. Nice cup of cocoa at night time? low fat milk of course.

You sound like you mean business and most of the time if you get the mind into gear the body will follow.

HMMmmm. Light as a feather, good feedback and more minimalist then the standard boost shoes. Nearly purchased them but I think I will run my Freerun v3's into the ground a bit more as their are more boost variants due soon.

Where from? I tried to get some from the VLM, but failed due to being er... in Hawaii. Adios is my fave shoe ever and with boost, it's going to be amazing.

                      Morning all,
does anyone here use any other supliments apart from whey protien ?

are the protien bars any good when wanting to loose fat and build muscle. they seem very expensive

Ok, so the switch in diet is going well and I've gone from chocolate to cereal bars - I know, still bad but I'm moving in the right direction.

Bought some jogging pants (I forgot the level of chavy wankerage you have to endure while browsing in a sports shop) so I'm all set.

Feel like I need some energy though. Will that come in time as I start running (I do feel better since I've been doing the weights again) or is there a quick fix? protein shake etc...

                        Comment

Do you mean during the run? It's probably just lack of fitness. Do a few weeks of just mile-building, so slow runs, gradually increasing the distance run each week to avoid injury. Then start thinking about upping the pace on the shorter runs and keeping the longer runs slow.

Protein won't give you energy (not enough for running anyway). Wholegrain pasta pesto, porridge with jam, wholegrain toast with honey.

Note: running is opposite training to weights - it's slower to make headway in both at once, but I think it's a healthier option than just one or the other.

Some energy in general would be nice.

I had a feeling it might just be poor fitness as I do feel a bit better after going back to the weights energy wise.

I'll start on the porridge tomorrow.

ATM I'm just wanting to get into good shape (get my body fat back down to 15% or lower) and then I'll focus on where I need to go from there. I reckon once I'm 'back to normal' I can go back to a less stringent routine.
