Those are over 400k so these are now cleaned up, retired and put to another use.

Enter the new ones, GT-2000's. Can't form a good opinion after just one 6k run, but I don't think they are as good as the previous Ziruss 4's which are the best runners I've ever had.

I tripped on a 1cm bit of road this morning. Tore a 50p size chunk of skin off my knee. Hand and elbow are a bit of a mess. Will still run tomorrow I expect

So on a whim, as it was very cheap, I bought a Bullworker Iso-Bow. And honestly I'm loving it so far. Has these ten-minute workouts on YouTube you can do with it (I just tag it onto to end end of my other daily exercise) and frankly it does feel pretty good after you're done.

I used to use one of those. The progression in strength was quite good and dynamic motions

Back to normal, done three 6k's over the weekend after spending more than two weeks in Japan.

My inner thighs are as tight as...it's like I've not run in two years not two weeks.

            That's age for you.

Ran 6X last week and 2X MTB. Feeling tired but in good shape

                Interesting;
In a quiet corner of London a small group of extraordinary runners complete laps of an athletics track for a day and a night. Why do they do it? And how far do they go?

I've raced with quite a few of those runners. Never done a 24hr on my own, but did one as a team. It was was a lot of fun.

Impressive. If there was one up north I may 'consider' having a go. Like a lot of the older runners I couldn't run but walk it.

With the GT-2000's at 437km I've retired them.

Today was the first run with the Glyde 3 MX's (Asics do come up with some strange names) and they are great, yesterdays time for just a pip over 5K was 31:18 which is where I normally live. Today I did 29:15. I did pour it on a bit but these shoes feel a load better than the GT-2000's, in fact the sole looks very similar to my beloved Ziruss 4's which you can see above. Both shoes have an arch formation built into the sole which really helps me. I could also feel the treads really biting into the surface.
                      Ace.

Wasn't the end of the road for the GT-2000's, I soaked them in a bucket of washing power, scrubbed them all over with a hand brush and old toothbrush to clean out the soles and they look as good as any new holiday trainers! They take over from another old pair to become my everyday trainers.

I'm fortunately in neutral shoes, so mine tend to go on forever (support shoes tend to fall over to one side after 3-400 miles)
Currently at 670 miles in adidas speed ultra 240 (lugs worn away, so now using as a road / dry trail shoe), 475 miles in vivobarefoot primus lite, and 460 miles in Cloudsurfer.

I've got some adidas Takumi Sen coming for my birthday in a couple of weeks I hope.
Newest shoe currently using is adidas Boston. It's very bouncy but I'm not sure of the crazy toespring angle - feels like falling off the front with every step. I'm used to it now.
