3TB Seagates by any chance? They've been suffering extremely high failure rates recently.

My cloud backups are an emergency only setup and are 2048px JPGs, so they don't take that much space, besides with Amazon Prime you get unlimited photo backups, although I'm no where near 900GB even with raw files - getting 900GB at 750Kb would take a while mind

Other than that I have backups on BR, external HDD and some more recent stuff on memory sticks - still, not a lot you can do about it now I suppose.

                        Thanks.

Anyone get up at 3am to take photos of the moon? I got a couple of shots, but they ended up being a little soft as I was hand holding at 2000mm.

Couple in the fog from Sunday morning turned out better.

Upgraded my Nikon D7000 to the D7100, nearly went for the D600 but the extra reach is more useful to me with the DX crop, perhaps not so much with this shot mind.

There's so much greatness in this thread so I'll post this one to redress the balance:

I saw a dragonfly resting on a wall on during my lunch break. While snapping shots of it, a confident ant strolled up and frightened the dragonfly from its perch!

I used the digital zoom a bit to help me lock the focus but I wish I'd just zoomed out, taken it normally and cropped it later

You did well to get it in frame moving about - these things don't hang around.
