There are plenty of crappy little niggles about Japan, but overall I prefer living here to living in the UK.

I think the general ****ness of the housing is the biggest of those crappy little niggles for me.

My last apartment was sweet, had double glazing due to being between two train lines (one of them being the one that runs to billy, coincidentally). So would stay cool in summer and warm in winter better than most. Rent here is much more expensive and less available. The vacation thing would be more annoying for many.
