Urgh parcel farce, well to be fair more like british customs my parcel was posted from Japan on the 13th of August took just 2 days to reach the uk then just sat in customs from 15th till today. Seriously it takes them that long to decide that may parcel is getting taxed, what is the point of paying for express postage when it's anything but.

I started my new job one day too late for payroll cut off.

I won't get paid now until the 25th September. I started on 4th August.

I've got an advance coming but it will be for a small percentage of my earnings.

Speaking of money, dawned on me this morning that between the Council tax, petrol and diesel I spend over ?320 a month (that includes the missus car).
Been annoying me since the thought popped in to my head

I also like not having a car - I spend between ?75 and ?90 per month on transport, which isn't too bad. You are fairly set up for it in central London though, if I lived elsewhere I'm sure one would be a requirement.

I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to work, but take the train to school. A monthly pass is $96, of which I can claim_$15 back from my taxes.

I saw a HORI VX SA in GAME a few days back and decided to go buy it today. It was in a display case price ?79.99. All items in said case are 'to order' only. I was told it was totally out of stock and the only circumstances they can sell the one in the case is if they have another in group stock to replace it.

So I said if it's impossible to ever buy this item, why is it on display with a price on it? They guy shrugged. Then came up with what I can only assume was a lie to get rid of me. He said the one in the case didn't work any way, being a 'dummy' for display purposes. Complete rubbish. It was the genuine article. Also, if it was a 'dummy', why did he say minutes earlier he could have sold me that one had they had another in group stock.

Utter waste of time and petrol
